Useful

We had a lot of rain in a few days so my sump pump was busy doing it's job until the clamp that holds the float in place broke. Needless to say, the pump was off for a few hours and flooded my basement. I didn't have time to go to town and buy anything to fix it. I went through a few quick and dirty prototypes using an old piece of pvc, some styrofoam, and zip ties holding it in place. This was ugly and only worked part of the time. The switch end stops would catch on the inside of the tube when water hit the float just right. So obviously this wouldn't do. The pump needs to work all the time. So I drew up a quick sketch of what I thought I wanted to do. It didn't need to be pretty just had to work. I went into this phase knowing this was just a prototype until I had time to finish cleaning up my basement and tweak it. Here is what I ended up with. I will be redoing this eventually. So for now it's on the bottom of my very long todo list :)

This was a fun print. I can't wait to try it out. Our guest bathroom's shower head is pretty bad, so I printed this one and will install it soon. 

I am tired of throwing gum packs away after they get crumpled and destroyed in my pocket(example pictures below). So I created a simple box using an openscad design by clifcox you can check out my stl files here My final version of the gum holder, holds 3 sticks which is plenty for my needs. I no longer have to destroy gum packs before finishing them. This will also save some money by not going having to throw away so much good gum.

This is a webcam cover designed by MIGUIF. This was a simple print and solved the problem of covering my webcam without looking like junk with a piece of tape. It is also nice because you can just slide it out of the way and use the webcam when needed.

This is a Phone Holder for the shower so my wife can listen to her music or audiobook while taking a shower. This is a very basic design thrown together by me in about 30 minutes in Fusion 360

I got a free Google Home Mini when I bought my Pixel 2 from Google. This is one of my favorite functional prints. I have sense got 2 more Google Home Mini devices to place throughout my house. So I will definitely be printing more of these holders.

Phone holders are really nice when you are watching something and you are busy with your hands. For example doing the dishes. I use my phone holder every night while I clean and load dishes.

They also make great gifts. I looked up phone stands and the cost of similar stands were around $6

$6 doesn't really seem like much money but when everyone in your family wants one it adds up.
